Brent Upshaw

 

Serial Entrepreneur and investor focused on positively impacting the community.  A graduate of Louisiana Monroe, Mr. Brent received his Bachelor of Business Administration, alongside Marketing and Risk Management.  He started off as a Director of Sales & Business development (Jan 2012- Dec 2014) for an organization by the name of Praeses. Currently, he is the founder of Traction Jedi (2014-present), while also being the Principal of Digital Growth Solutions(2017-present), Ogilvie Real Estate (2017-present). Mr. Brent has been the partner of BoBu Holdings (2017-present) and a Venture Partner of Grind Capital (2018-present). Throughout the years, Brent Upshaw has developed many skills that separate him from the others. His skills includes: Business development, Strategic Planning, Relationship Management, Product Development, along with Business Intelligence. He has been apart of many organizations focused on innovation and entrepreneurship including: the Cohabitat foundation (Shreveport, Louisiana) as a board member, the Startup Incubator: Breaking Lean, the Technology Bootcan: Hacker Forge, the Innovation Enterprise, Louisiana Tech - Mentor Startup Incubation, the Chennault Aviation Museum (Monroe, Louisiana) - where he was the Economic Development Partner/Donor, along with being an Advisor for Heroes Sports. 

Blake Ogilvie

 

With a strong background and skill set in Real Estate, Management, Customer Service, Sales, Strategic Planning, and Leadership, Blake Ogilvie has been a vital part of what drives Grind Capital. After he graduated with a bachelors degree in Forestry from Louisiana Tech, he continued to build and craft a skill set that would develop him into the crucial piece of Grind Capital that he is today. He began his work as a the owner of The Practice Tee in June of 2009- October 2016 and later moved onto being the Managing Partner for for IHeart Deliveries from April 2016- December 2017. He currently works as the Broker/Owner at Ogilvie Real Estate, LLC. Alongside that, he works as a Principal at Digital Growth Solutions(November 2017-present), and Partner at BoBu Holdings(October 2017-Present). On top of this all, he has been working at Grind Capital as a Partner since August, 2018. All of his job experience has grown an extensive list of skills that he's able to use to aid the company in as many ways as possible. Some of those skills include: project management, risk assessment, marketing, public speaking, technology startups, strategic planning, leadership, and business operations. Overall, He has played a crucial role in the development and startup of Grind Capital and continues today to better it.

Jack Rome

A man who is wise beyond his years, and worked almost all trades, became a part of the creation of Grind Capital. After he completed Bachelors Degree in accounting, and MBA program, he began working. He had accumulated a slew of successful careers. Some of his more recent jobs have included working with The Acumen Group, LLC (1985-2008) as the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive. Holding the title of President at Jack Rome, Jr. & Associates from August 1985-August 2013 as well. He also had experience in Pathway Surfaces, INC as a Chairman and Chief Executive Office, from January 1988-April 2008. Today, he still works as the owner of the Crossmark Management Group, LLC(August 2013- Present), and as a Venture partner for Grind Capital(August 2018-Present).
